Product Analytics Lead

Our Data and Analytics team is currently looking for a Product Analytics Lead to join us!
You’ll be responsible for laying the foundation for a best-in-class product analytics function. You’ll partner closely with our business stakeholders to ensure that our analytics stack and processes meet the business needs today with an eye towards the future.
What you’ll do as the Product Analytics Lead at Vanta:
Write DBT SQL pipelines to automate and manage data assets in Snowflake for our product partners.
Python/R with Hex.tech to conduct statistical analysis of product usage and engagement data.
Work in Sigma Computing to find insights in our customer journey
Conduct and manage business enhancing analytical projects: defining and predicting churn, specifying and building a product
Set the bar high for what is expected of predictive analytics projects.
Define the analytics practice for our Product Analytics efforts
Help craft our AI and LLM measurement practices
Lead Analytics Reviews with C-level partners
How to be successful in this role:
Have at least 8 years of experience working with data as a data scientist / analyst in an applied business context
Deep experience with data visualization
Professional experience with statistics and analytical techniques.
Experience with experiment design and hypothesis testing in small n experiments.
Building models for predicting the P(churn) of a customer
Building models for predicting risk
Intense curiosity about data, the world, where they match, and why they do or don’t
Product lifecycle expertise, in particular converting a product experience into a growth analytics framework
Executive communication skills. You can tell a compelling story about the status quo
Deep understanding of Product analytics stacks (Heap, Amplitude, StatSig, client stride tracking, and browser mechanics) and integration of product data with Customer Success teams
Deep understanding of Go to Market data stacks (Salesforce, Hubspot, Catalyst, Zendesk) and integration of product data with Customer Success teams systems and processes
Deep understanding of B2B SaaS predictive analytics
Experience working within Product Teams
Experience leading executive data reviews
Experience delivering change management with BI tooling

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below. The base pay range for this position is $182,000 - $214,000. This role may also be eligible for commissions/bonus, equity, medical benefits, 401(k) plan, and other company perk programs.

We started Vanta in 2016 as Equifax had lost every American's social security number, Home Depot had leaked its customers' credit card numbers to hackers, and Facebook admitted that it irresponsibly sent user data to third parties who tried to influence the US election. It was clear that security and privacy had become mainstream issues, and that we all increasingly relied on cloud services to store everything from our personal photos to our communications at work.
Vanta's mission is to be the layer of trust on top of these services, and to secure the internet, increase trust in software companies, and keep consumer data safe.
We do this by building an automated head of security for technology companies, and we use that system to both help a company secure itself and to prove their security to others.
If we succeed in our mission, it should feel irresponsible for users to put data into a product that isn't certified by Vanta, and irresponsible for companies to collect data without using Vanta to secure and monitor themselves.
