We are looking for an experienced Frontend Engineer to help us build out the frontend of our NFT marketplace and creator tooling and serve as the leader for frontend engineering expertise.

Sloika is a photography NFT marketplace and community. We believe that photography and visual storytelling are at the center of human culture. It has the power to end wars, change the perspective on history, and even how the human race views itself. The past and future of photography bring iconic moments that will stay with us forever.
The NFTs have revolutionized how creators and collectors see the artwork, and we believe in driving this innovation globally. Our goal at Sloika is to create tools for all photographers to collaborate, publish their work, and connect with collectors. Since launching our alpha in September, we have launched 500 photography series and brought our creators $700,000 in revenue.

👋 About you
The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail and a proven ability to deliver excellent user experiences, a deep understanding of modern web application architecture, and an understanding of dapps and other blockchain-based projects.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain beautiful, high-fidelity front-end for Sloika’s NFT marketplace and creator tooling.
Own the work from problem definition to production.
Collaborate with a UX/UI designer, product manager, and backend and smart contract engineers to deliver an excellent user experience.
Collaborate with other front-end developers to define the frontend application architecture and implement architectural decisions that improve code quality and developer productivity.
Mentor other engineers and contribute to the direction of the team.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in the industry.
Proven ability to deliver high-quality user experiences in non-trivial applications.
Deep understanding of the modern frontend application stack.
Ability to identify ways to quickly prototype complex ideas, breaking down the work into components and milestones that other engineers can easily pick up.
Good spoken and written English: we are a multi-national team, but English is our official language of communication.
Preferred extras
Prior production experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, REST or GraphQL APIs, handling large media in-browser.
Experience with blockchains, web3 and dapps, NFTs — as a user or as a developer!
Prior startup experience would be an asset.
