About the role

As Director of People Operations, you will report to the COO and be responsible for leading Muon and our People team through its next phase of growth. This person will serve as a thought leader when it comes to the employee experience and a strong operations leader with a lens for process. You will manage a team responsible for People Strategy, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, and Employee Experience and will continue to grow the People team to meet the company’s needs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership and management teams to create a people strategy and plan that will attract, retain, and develop the best talent.
  • Expand and streamline HR tools, processes, and guidelines based on your knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends and best practices, new developments and applicable laws.
  • Facilitate the delivery and maintenance of Compensation & Benefits plans that are comprehensive, creative, and ensure that we remain competitive and attract and retain top talent.
  • Engage with recruiters and hiring managers to scale our process for identifying and recruiting top talent, accelerating our ability to grow.
  • Work with our hiring managers to ensure a fantastic onboarding experience, setting the stage for new employee success at Muon Space.
  • Expand and maintain our diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging initiatives.
  • Partner with executive team and managers to foster a culture of inclusion where all employees feel valued and see Muon Space as a place where they can do their best work.
  • Provide guidance to a fast-growing and driven management team, working with them to identify needs, pain points, and develop solutions.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience working in or managing HR organizations within start-ups or high-growth companies
  • Strong EQ with cultivated interpersonal skills suited to high-growth organizations
  • Experience utilizing people analytics data and insights to help guide decision making
  • Demonstrated success building, managing, and scaling domestic and international teams in a hybrid work environment
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive including the willingness and ability to roll-up your sleeves and jump in when necessary
  • A high level of ownership, confidentiality, and attention to detail
  • Excited to work in a fast-paced environment with new challenges each week

Nice-to-have Skills

  • Familiarity and knowledge of immigration processes and regulations pertaining to employment and/or export control

At Muon Space salary is only part of our total compensation package. In addition to salary, Muon Space provides equity compensation as well as benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k retirement plan, life insurance, and an employee development program. We also offer three weeks paid vacation for new employees, along with 12 paid holidays and unlimited sick time, along with paid parental leave to name a few of our benefits.

The salary range for this role is 125-225K and will depend on a candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience as defined during the interview process.

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. protected person as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
